WHERE

The EAA Chapter 1112 Pancake Breakfast is served at the Oroville Foundation of Flight (OFOF) Hut on the northwest corner of the Oroville (California) Municipal Airport (OVE). Fly in Guests can enter the OFOF taxiway off of taxiway "J12" on the SW side of runway 12-30. Look for the large white quonset-like structure. Drive-in Guests can enter via Wes Barrett Lane (off of SR162), the access road for the Table Mountain Golf Course as well as OFOF. Look for the grassy glen, three flagpoles at the Donor's Wall and large parking lot on the left as you drive in about a 1/4 mi.

The taxiway is now semi-paved with decomposed granite to provide a firm, all-weather (except in very rainy periods) base and is propeller friendly and dust limiting. This project was completed by OFOF in the Fall of 2002.  We have also built and use a water wagon to dampen the taxiway on hot/dry days to further reduce dust/sand pickup.

WHEN

The Pancake Breakfast takes place every 3rd Saturday of the month, year-around (except for Dec.), from 8am to 10am.   Please check the Calendar for current dates and notices.

During cold or inclement weather the breakfast will be served inside the Hut. On more pleasant days, the option of outdoor seating will be presented.

The menu includes bacon, eggs, and coffee, in addition to all the pancakes you can eat. Cost is usually about $5.00. Pilots who fly in a homebuilt aircraft are entitled to one FREE breakfast.

After the breakfast, circa 11am, there may be a fly-out, destination to be determined by the participants.

OTHER THINGS OF INTEREST

Inside the Hut there will usually be one or more member projects to investigate.

A Wright Cyclone R-1300 engine is on display as used on T-28A's, Grumann Ag-Cats and Sikorski S-55 helicopters.

The 18 hole Table Mtn. Golf Course is within an easy walk (across the street). They have rental clubs and carts and are not usually overcrowded on Saturday mornings.  There is also a cafe where lunch can be purchased.
